Synopsis
Vienna, December 1791. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has just died. Constance, his widow, is left to cope. Alone and penniless, she had to find a disciple capable of completing the famous Requiem, which had not been finished. Will the young Franz-Xaver Süssmayr, who was Mozart’s pupil at the time, and for whom she has a soft spot, be up to the Master’s task of composing the end of this mass and fulfill the task of the great composer?

The Play
First presented at the Avignon Festival, at Théâtre Actuel on July 1, 2016 . Alain Teulié’s second play was soon premiered and performed in Paris at the Théâtre du Petit-Montparnasse in September of the same year. Directed by Raphaëlle Cambray, the play starred Delphine Depardieu and Guillaume Marquet. For her role as Constance Mozart, Delphine Depardieu was nominated at the Molières 2017 in the “Révélation féminine” category. Alain Teulié’s play is published by Michel De Maule.
